Loved this game. Fun story, great characters! Boxman made me laugh a ton, his mannerisms are great and well designed. The dialogue is great and I really enjoyed all the little tricks added in the game, it seems as though you put lots of thought into the development!
This game is a hoot. Though I beat it in less than an hour, I was enthralled in the storytelling. I really, really wanted Patricia to get her cake. The personality of this game is its greatest asset. I love how Boxman is both very cocky and very stupid. When I was playing, I was annoyed that Boxman would not flee from a fight when I wanted him to, however, I see now that it provided important information on who Boxman is as a character and is yet another stroke of storytelling genius from the developers. I would recommend this game to anyone with 30-45 minutes to kill and a love for swine, cake and adventure.
My favorite parts handsdown were the dialogue between characters and voicing for Boxman after a duel. I also liked that with my battle against the foxes, there was enough HP for me to learn that I could heal myself with items. I would've been frustrated if I reapeatedly died before I figured that out. Seeing the option for a bubble wand but not being able to visualize it certainly piqued my interest. That's why I was glad I was finally able to see it in my hand after I had finished a fight. Overall, very humorous and entertaining game!
The adventures of Boxman is an interesting game. The combat of the game definitely put me on my feet as I suddenly lost my balloon sword in the first fight on the first swing, to say that I had to adapt to the games own resource management was an understatement. having to save gold by taking a nap to barley escaping with my life during some fights. This was an interesting game for sure.
Really interesting how the bubble wand changes the dynamic from a pure turn based game to a bit more dynamic combat situation. The story is also pretty fun and interesting, and the music is amazing!
